About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively engage allied healthcare professionals with product and disease education supporting patient management before, during, and after approved therapies
- Provide ongoing education and resources on patient management, dosing and administration, and side-effect management
- Collaborate with field teams within ways-of-working guidelines to support allied healthcare clinicians
- Interact with clinicians in targeted accounts and provide clinical in-services and education
- Identify educational needs and expand disease-state awareness, including symptom management and appropriate patient identification
- Develop customized educational plans based on account dynamics and clinical insights
- Educate on product preparation and administration, adverse-event mitigation, monitoring, and management
- Interpret and communicate approved clinical education topics to diverse audiences
- Provide 1:1 presentations, in-services, round-table discussions, and podium presentations
- Educate patient-care teams about product-associated infusion processes
- Document and share clinical insights using strategic questioning and active listening
- Attend and provide clinical information or presentations at internal national, regional, and local meetings
- Support exhibit booths and displays as appropriate
- Enhance clinical training initiatives and internal sales-team competencies
- Collaborate across sales, marketing, clinical operations, medical, and clinical value and evidence functions
- Potentially educate patients in patient advocacy meeting settings using approved materials and messaging
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; Nursing or NP preferred
- Master’s level education preferred
- Three or more years of combined clinical experience and/or pharmaceutical sales, clinical educator, or medical affairs experience; Oncology preferred
- Experience working in or supporting patients and HCPs in an infusion center setting preferred
- Experience developing or implementing chemotherapy/biologics infusion procedures and protocols for therapy administration and patient safety monitoring preferred
- Excellent communication, objective setting, influencing, business acumen, and analytical skills
- Experience adapting to change and embracing learning
- Experience interpreting clinical and pharmacoeconomic data
- Awareness of evolving oncology market trends and their effects on providers and patients
- Experience operating within a cross-functional team
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications
- Ability to travel 50% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel
- Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe-driving requirements
