About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize business opportunities for approved Parkinson’s Franchise products
- Report to the Regional Sales Director, Parkinson’s, and manage 6–8 Account Executives
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, Advanced Practice Providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, department managers, and support staff
- Increase education on product benefits and risks and awareness of therapeutic gaps in accordance with approved labels
- Develop new business, expand existing business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales to achieve the assigned product portfolio sales plan
- Implement franchise goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics
- Support the evolution of franchise culture and collaborative business execution
- Hire, coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct reports
- Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations
- Manage strategic relationships with Top Movement Disorder Centers and selected accounts
- Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for targeted accounts
- Monitor and report sales progress
- Communicate routinely with internal and external stakeholders
- Leverage available resources and tools to support compliant selling strategies
- Represent AbbVie in the Parkinson’s and Neuroscience space with healthcare professionals and patient organizations
- Attend neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including some evenings and weekends
- Remain current on clinical, market, and payer developments related to Parkinson’s disease
- Complete required AbbVie training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Advanced analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting business
- Ability to examine the business environment and develop/execute responses to market opportunities
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements
- Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
- Background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses may be required
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
- Must meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
