About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximize business opportunities for approved on-market Parkinson's drug-device combination products
  • Report to the Regional Sales Director, Parkinson's, and manage 6–8 Account Executives
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, Advanced Practice Providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, department managers, and support staff
  • Increase education about product benefits, risks, approved labels, and therapeutic gaps
  • Develop new business, expand existing business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales to achieve the assigned product portfolio sales plan
  • Implement franchise goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics
  • Support the evolution of franchise culture and collaborative business execution
  • Hire, coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct reports
  • Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations
  • Manage strategic accounts and establish multilevel relationships with Top Movement Disorder Centers and selected accounts
  • Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for targeted accounts
  • Monitor and report sales progress
  • Communicate routinely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage available resources and tools to support compliant selling strategies
  • Represent AbbVie in the Parkinson's and Neuroscience space with healthcare professionals and patient organizations
  • Attend neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events
  • Channel key information, developments, and findings to internal stakeholders
  • Remain current on clinical, market, and payer developments related to Parkinson's Disease
  • Meet HCIR credentialing requirements for facilities and organizations in the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Advanced analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting business
  • Ability to examine the business environment and develop/execute in response to market opportunities
  • HCIR credentialing requirements, including possible background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific licenses
  • Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
  • Ability to drive a personal auto or company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment
  • Completion of all required AbbVie training and adherence to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
