About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect new and existing systems to improve performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Build, implement, and iterate on CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage, develop, design, and deploy microservice and containerized applications

  • Automate deployments and configurations across platforms
  • Develop scalable automation for observability implementation
  • Identify observability and process improvement opportunities
  • Standardize alerts and notifications and respond to monitoring tools
  • Implement observability in day-to-day application operations
  • Contribute to post-mortems, root cause analysis, and corrective action items
  • Promote DevOps best practices and Agile/Scrum
  • Contribute to hybrid-cloud production containerization services
  • Design and implement standards, policies, and procedures for automation and integrations
  • Learn toolsets and implement features to streamline operations
  • Ensure production security systems meet uptime objectives and remain current

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; or PhD with 2 years’ experience
  • Treat security best practices as a requirement
  • Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platform administration
  • Familiarity with observability pillars
  • Experience in high-scale environments and distributed architectures
  • Knowledge of Agile / DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with Docker workloads and Kubernetes / Amazon ECS
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable administering Linux and Windows environments
  • Preferred: SPIRE/SPIFFE, Terraform/Crossplane, development tools and scripting languages, MCP Servers, database management systems, AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure AZ-900, serverless architecture, containerized applications, data management and pipeline technologies, Agile teams, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, Kubernetes distributed platforms, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code
  • Remote work anywhere in the U.S.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
