  • Execute brand strategy and field tactics

  • Develop and execute call plans to optimize customer coverage and sales opportunities
  • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales practices
  • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams
  • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers
  • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
  • Collaborate with field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree: at least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, plus a high school diploma/GED required
  • Proven track record of success in selling
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach
  • Ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions
  • Ability to influence others and serve as a credible resource
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships
  • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility
  • Understanding of findings to develop sales strategies
  • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • English language proficiency verbally and in writing
  • Must satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials
  • Demonstrated in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
  • Must meet safe driving requirements
