About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Call on Urologists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Oncologists treating prostate cancer
- Call on Urologists treating overactive bladder and neurogenic detrusor overactivity associated with a neurological condition
- Develop robust business/account plans to execute brand strategy and tactics in the field
- Deliver sales performance and build strong customer relationships
- Support customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance
- Operate within AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, laws, and regulations
- Work in a cross-functional matrix team with medical, market access, and AbbVie Care teams
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
- Create pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations
- Handle objections and concerns and close sales calls in person or virtually
- Support stakeholders' needs and build trusted relationships
- Execute call plans to optimize coverage of key customers and maximize sales opportunities
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise
- Share market intelligence with the district manager and team members
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers
- Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
- Develop and maximize integrated account plans with in-field team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce or equivalent
- Minimum of three to five years in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical industry
- Urology experience is an asset
- Established relationships with existing HCP targets is an asset
- Physician/account-based selling, CHE / OLA / training, managed health care or marketing experience are preferred
- Proven track record in sales and solid presentation skills both F2F and virtually
- Experience with iCertis, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is an asset
- Strong ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt the selling approach
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Proficient with Zoom, Veeva Engage, and Microsoft Teams
- Position requires occasional evening/weekend work, including overnight travel
- Expected travel within territory is 50%
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Ability to think strategically and develop a high-quality territory plan
- Sound business judgment and ability to assess local market direction
- Ability to predict customer and competitive outcomes
