About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans; prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems and identify trends
- Develop operations systems for product handling and storage, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
- Implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and legal regulations
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors
- Serve as primary point of contact for equipment quality issues
- Work with the Vice President of 3D Solutions and management team to implement policies, procedures, and systems
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Oversee materials and plan inventory
- Work with Human Resources to recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
- Perform other duties as business needs arise
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in an operations management role
- Experience in 3D/Additive Manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of production management
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field preferred
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations
- Strong managerial and supervisory skills
- Strong problem-solving capability, willing to roll up sleeves and get dirty
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Experience using an ERP system with an aptitude for learning new software applications
- Thorough understanding of general safety requirements
