About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Place purchase orders with international and local suppliers
- Maintain a 99% service rate through reliable supply monitoring
- Follow up on shipping, freight forwarders, order tracking, letters of credit, and supplier payments with finance
- Lead the procurement function and integrate the procurement team with suppliers
- Manage order-tracking documentation from ordering through customer delivery
- Manage overall orders and supply flow to maintain smooth operations
- Coordinate unit integration and functioning within the procurement team
- Calculate order quantities based on supplier capacity and ensure timely ordering
- Monitor organizational KPIs and maintain reporting systems in the supply chain function
- Coordinate with HR, finance, quality, IT, and other departments to support projects and escalate issues
- Ensure real-time data entry in IT systems and resolve system issues or requirements
- Monitor shipping deliveries, locations, operational controls, and safety risk measures
- Follow up on critical tasks and project status
- Address burning issues, take corrective actions, and guide the team
- Conduct regular team meetings on achievements and challenges
- Circulate daily activity and ordering-monitoring reports
- Maintain vendor relationships and follow up on outstanding project steps
- Prepare weekly status reports for management
- Report critical issues to management for resolution
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely supplier payments
- Approve or decline vendor proposals
- Analyze purchase-order data to determine effective transportation methods
- Develop and monitor the team and succession planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree (in supply chain preferable)
- 7 years or more experience in Purchasing / Procurement and Logistics
- Time Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Monitoring and Implementation
- Active Learning, Stress Tolerance, Achievement/Effort, Awareness and Problem-Solving Skill
- Problem Sensitivity and Deductive Reasoning
- Good knowledge of different business functions
- Strong leadership qualities
- English / Arabic
