About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and edit Compromise and Release (C&R) agreements and related addendums before filing with the WCAB
  • Verify settlement terms against case files, including ADJ numbers, injury dates, body parts, settlement amounts, attorney fees, permanent disability advances, liens, and future medical provisions
  • Review addendums and attachments for consistency with C&R agreements and WCAB compliance
  • Identify and correct errors, omissions, and problematic language that may delay approval
  • Communicate required corrections to Settlement Admins and internal teams
  • Manage a daily caseload and prioritize files by urgency and deadlines
  • Maintain accurate status updates and notes in the case management system

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Experience with California workers' compensation, particularly on the applicant side (preferred)
  • Familiarity with C&R drafting, WCAB approval requirements, and common OSA issues (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
