About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and execute the group’s programmatic strategy (Open Market, PMPs, Preferred Deals, and Programmatic Guaranteed)
  • Manage the monetization stack (Google Ad Manager, Prebid, Open Bidding, SSPs) and floor pricing policy
  • Negotiate and manage partnerships with SSPs, DSPs, trading desks, and agencies
  • Monitor eCPM, fill rate, viewability, and revenue per session metrics
  • Ensure the implementation, trafficking, QA, and delivery of direct and programmatic campaigns, meeting SLAs and pacing requirements
  • Structure inventory taxonomy across all brands, including video, CTV, and audio
  • Safeguard inventory quality and security, including brand safety, fraud/IVT prevention, ads.txt/sellers.json, and creative policies
  • Work with Product to balance monetization and reader experience
  • Transform first-party data into commercial products and audience segments
  • Lead the transition to a third-party-cookie-free landscape
  • Ensure compliance with Brazil’s LGPD and consent management policies (CMP)
  • Lead, develop, and scale the Ad Operations and Programmatic team
  • Support the Commercial team with proposals, inventory forecasts, and pitches
  • Build and report on performance dashboards and revenue forecasts for senior leadership
  • Track market trends and propose new media products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Solid experience managing programmatic media and Ad Operations in publishing or media companies
  • Proficiency with ad servers (Google Ad Manager) and monetization technologies (Prebid, Open Bidding, SSPs, and DSPs)
  • Practical knowledge of inventory taxonomy, brand safety, IVT, ads.txt, LGPD, and identity/privacy solutions
  • Advanced analytical skills for daily monitoring of metrics (eCPM, fill rate, and viewability) and eCPM floor modeling
  • Leadership profile, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Product, and Technology teams
  • English proficiency
