About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, support and maintain infrastructure hosted in country, including virtual servers, physical servers, storage and backup servers
Install, upgrade, configure and troubleshoot servers
Schedule, perform and review backups; maintain backup systems and disaster recovery readiness
Maintain servers, workstations and network devices
Support infrastructure, data storage and cybersecurity audits
Monitor resource utilization, server performance and incidents
Implement security measures, access controls and server configuration management
Provide technical support for IT service management processes
Follow change management procedures for system installations and upgrades
Support IT tasks and projects, including migrations, upgrades and deployments
Implement information security guidelines
Convert business requirements into services
Supervise end-user hardware maintenance
Perform server and host testing, including functional, performance and integration testing
Review releases, assign testing tasks, compile deliverables and test results
Coordinate user acceptance, back-out and post-release testing
Conduct installation procedure and supporting documentation reviews
Validate and communicate testing results
Support country IT Risk and Governance and improve governance, risk management, controls and compliance
Drive own performance development and complete agreed training and development plans

Requirements

What you’ll need

First Class or Second-Class Upper degree classification
Credit or higher in both Mathematics and English at O’Level
At least two principal passes at A’Level
Higher Certificates and Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
6 months contract apprenticeship
