About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices
Build scalable and secure enterprise-grade solutions using modern development frameworks
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services
Implement application security controls and secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and application defects
Contribute to solution design and technical architecture discussions
Develop cloud-native and containerized applications
Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, performant, and maintainable
Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
Integrate security controls into development and deployment processes
Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams on infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation
Monitor application performance and support operational excellence
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests
Support automated testing and quality assurance frameworks
Ensure code quality through peer reviews, static code analysis, and test coverage metrics
Participate in release management and deployment activities
Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments
Utilize container technologies for application packaging and deployment
Support cloud-native platform modernization initiatives
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and developers
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
Provide technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any IT related fields (Preferred Qualification)
At 3–7 years of software development experience (level can be adjusted based on seniority)
Demonstrated experience developing enterprise backend applications
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Experience with cloud-native application development and CI/CD delivery pipelines
Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
Knowledge of translating business requirements to technology solutions
ITIL governance framework knowledge
Understanding of IT service delivery within a corporate environment
Ability to analyze, make decisions, and initiate action
Communication skills, negotiation skills, strategic thinking, conceptual thinking, and subject matter expertise
