About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and ship full stack features across Python/FastAPI backend and React/TypeScript frontend
  • Create fast proof-of-concept work for demos and client feedback
  • Extend the AI agent with typed tools, input/output schemas, refined system prompts, and database-grounded outputs
  • Measure LLM behavior with evaluation suites and use results to guide prompt, tool, and model changes
  • Improve document extraction and classification pipelines for PDF, Excel, Word, and CSV files, including LLM-assisted steps
  • Build data-heavy interfaces including tables, charts, maps, and streaming chat interfaces
  • Write tests at every layer using pytest, Vitest, and Playwright
  • Review teammates' pull requests
  • Contribute to infrastructure as code and CI/CD when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with full stack features shipped to production
  • Strong object-oriented design, SOLID principles, common design patterns, and legacy-code refactoring
  • Experience shipping at least one customer-facing product feature involving an LLM or ML model
  • Tool or function calling and structured outputs validated against schemas
  • Prompt design, versioning, and checking outputs against source data to limit hallucinations
  • Evaluating model behavior with test sets or evaluation suites, including cost, latency, and failure modes
  • Streaming LLM responses to a user interface
  • Production experience with Python, FastAPI or similar, Pydantic, async Python, and SQLAlchemy or comparable ORM with migrations
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query performance, and data integrity
  • Production experience with modern hooks-based React, TypeScript, server-state management, and complex data-dense interfaces
  • Automated backend and frontend unit and integration testing
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Git-based pull request workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Professional working English
  • Ability to work independently in a small remote team
  • Hands-on experience with pydantic-ai, Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, or comparable frameworks
  • Experience with embeddings, vector search such as pgvector, and hybrid retrieval
  • Experience with document AI, PDF and table extraction, OCR, and semi-structured data classification
  • Experience with classical ML or applied statistics, including regression, estimation, and confidence ranges
  • Experience with Terraform and AWS App Runner or ECS
  • Experience with geospatial technologies such as Shapely, PostGIS, or Leaflet-style mapping
  • Domain exposure to real estate, construction, finance, or proptech
  • Security-minded engineering, including multi-tenant data isolation, authorization models, and secrets handling
  • Successful completion of employment verification and background checks after accepting an offer
