About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support ELA teachers in grades 3–10 with standards-aligned curriculum, pacing guides, and instructional resources
  • Monitor pacing to ensure priority standards and required content are taught within established timelines
  • Track standards that have been introduced, taught, assessed, mastered, or still require instruction or reinforcement
  • Help teachers unpack ELA standards and understand expected student knowledge and skills
  • Review curriculum maps, pacing guides, lesson plans, and instructional resources for standards alignment
  • Analyze student achievement and standards-mastery data to identify strengths, instructional gaps, and priorities
  • Collaborate with teachers to adjust instructional pacing and priorities based on student performance
  • Identify prerequisite skills and standards requiring reteaching to address learning gaps
  • Support vertical alignment across grades 3–10 for reading, writing, language, vocabulary, and literacy skills
  • Monitor classroom, benchmark, diagnostic, and state assessment performance
  • Facilitate content-specific planning and data discussions
  • Recommend curriculum resources and supplemental materials aligned with ELA standards and student needs
  • Collaborate with Instructional Coaches, teachers, and school leadership
  • Maintain documentation on pacing, standards coverage, student mastery, and instructional needs
  • Remain current on state standards, curriculum expectations, assessment requirements, and ELA best practices
  • Attend in-person state testing and student events several times per year

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Open to residents of Florida
  • Five or more years of experience in education with demonstrated experience or expertise in English Language Arts
  • Strong knowledge of ELA standards, curriculum, pacing, and assessment across grades 3–10
  • Strong understanding of standards-based instruction and progression of reading, writing, language, vocabulary, and literacy skills across grade levels
  • Experience analyzing standards-level student achievement data and identifying instructional priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers to identify content gaps and develop actionable plans
  • Comfortable using curriculum platforms, student data systems, spreadsheets, and virtual learning platforms
  • Committed to standards mastery, continuous improvement, and student academic achievement
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education preferred
  • Experience developing, implementing, or monitoring curriculum maps and pacing guides preferred
