About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate as the primary contact for assigned members, managing the relationship on behalf of the credit union
  • Resolve member problems and refer complex issues to the appropriate person or department
  • Keep current with market trends and share beneficial information with members and coworkers
  • Work directly with Loan Processors to ensure smooth administration of branch documentation
  • Retain and expand existing member relationships while pursuing new sources of business
  • Identify member needs and sell credit union products and services, including loans, mortgages, deposits, investments, accounts, lines of credit, and credit cards
  • Complete and analyze credit applications and make recommendations within established limits and procedures
  • Communicate terms and conditions of credit, deposit, and investment products and ensure suitability to member needs and risk tolerance
  • Provide clear loan, deposit, and investment instructions for completion of documentation
  • Control loan delinquency and maintain a systematic collection procedure for early identification of problem accounts
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve organizational and department objectives
  • Participate in meetings, planning, and training initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security, and fraud prevention
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Business Administration or other post-secondary education is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
  • Strong knowledge of Access Credit Union’s products and services
  • Ability to follow standardized regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Willingness to be involved in community events while maintaining a professional image
