Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set the strategic direction and lead the Sales team to meet and exceed revenue goals across the Austin and San Antonio markets
  • Own and drive local relationship management strategy with key clients, hotels, and industry partners
  • Advise the sales team on complex client needs and customized solutions
  • Set standards for client communication and handle high-stakes conversations
  • Set and refine sales strategy aligned with national objectives and market opportunities
  • Develop and oversee lead generation, qualification, and pipeline strategy
  • Define proposal development standards and lead enterprise-level or strategic opportunities
  • Collaborate with Managing Directors, Events, Creative, and cross-territory sales partners
  • Represent Access at industry events, client activations, and conferences
  • Serve as destination ambassador for Austin and San Antonio
  • Build and maintain senior-level partner relationships
  • Set prospecting, pipeline development, and account growth strategy
  • Coach the team on closing strategy and personally lead strategic deals
  • Establish strategic direction for FAMs and hotel partner events
  • Define and monitor pipeline KPIs
  • Define negotiation standards and lead or support critical negotiations
  • Partner with National, Events, and Creative teams on execution and client satisfaction
  • Oversee Salesforce data quality, pipeline health, forecasting, and reporting
  • Own the local sales forecast and assess national performance and revenue outlook
  • Mentor, inspire, and coach sales leaders and sellers
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and development of the sales team
  • Establish training and performance benchmarks
  • Embody and reinforce Access Values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of sales experience in DMC, events, or hospitality
  • 3+ years of sales leadership with a track record of team growth and coaching
  • Strong knowledge of and relationships within the Austin & San Antonio market
  • Salesforce fluency: pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
  • Confidence in client-facing roles, especially with hotel GMs and executives
  • Experience scaling or expanding sales across the market (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with highly competitive destinations (Austin and San Antonio) (nice-to-have)
  • Warm, collaborative leadership style with high accountability (nice-to-have)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
