About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end execution of localization projects and workstreams
- Coordinate activities across linguists, vendors, engineers, publishers, DTP specialists, quality teams, and other stakeholders
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and progress communications
- Allocate resources and address capacity, capability, or scheduling challenges
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned projects
- Identify delivery risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues
- Ensure localization workflows, client-specific processes, system requirements, and quality controls are followed
- Monitor project quality, coordinate reviews and corrective actions, and support continuous improvement
- Prepare estimates, quotes, purchase requests, and budget inputs; monitor budget performance
- Use translation management systems, workflow tools, automation, AI-enabled processes, and other technologies
- Support workflow changes, new services, process improvements, and technology enhancements
- Manage routine project escalations and document actions and decisions
- Maintain project data, reporting, documentation, forecasts, and records
- Contribute to customer satisfaction and timely fulfillment of client commitments
- Collaborate with Account Management, Program Management, Sales, Solutions, Engineering, Vendor Management, and Quality teams
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery processes
- Contribute to documentation, process guidance, onboarding, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience managing localization projects in a language-services or similarly complex global delivery environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction objectives
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and remain organized in a fast-moving environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound operational judgement
- Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and client contacts across different cultures and time zones
- Ability to manage project risks, dependencies, and changing priorities
- Understanding of localization workflows, quality management practices, and project financial fundamentals
- Comfort working with project-management platforms, reporting tools, and localization technology
- Ownership, follow-through, proactivity, adaptability, and motivation to learn and grow
- Experience supporting enterprise, strategic, or multi-service client accounts
- Experience managing complex localization workflows involving multiple stakeholders, technologies, languages, or regions
- Experience contributing to workflow improvements, automation initiatives, or operational-efficiency projects
- Experience with translation management systems such as MemoQ, Smartling, XTM, Plunet, or similar platforms
- Experience producing client-facing reports, delivery metrics, or performance analyses
- Experience providing guidance, onboarding support, or informal mentoring to project management team members
- Experience in highly regulated, technical, software, multimedia, or large-scale marketing localization environments
- PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar project-management qualification is a plus
