About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for Airline, Cruise Line, and Hotel partners
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage existing accounts
- Oversee account direction to maximize relationships, market share, and revenue
- Work with Research & Sourcing to support destination sourcing
- Initiate RFP processes and document results in customer destination presentations
- Plan sourcing timelines for expiring contracts and renewals
- Conduct domestic and international hotel site inspections with customers
- Negotiate hotel contracts, renewals, and addendums
- Monitor market conditions, rates, amenities, and contract terms
- Conduct destination contract risk management
- Maintain strong hotel relationships
- Collaborate with the sales and Business Development teams
- Manage crew member feedback and complaints through the CrewCare portal
- Add and remove hotels and maintain accurate system information
- Maintain negotiated rates in Hotel Express
- Verify hotel contract information and schedules in ACES
- Maintain client backup lists and flight information
- Maintain accurate revenue opportunities and contracts in the CRM
- Ensure client deliverables are met and create added client value
- Lead client communications, performance meetings, and business reviews
- Own internal communications regarding client performance, strategies, and needs
- Learn API technology platforms and recommend appropriate software solutions
- Independently make decisions balancing client and API needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the travel industry and working closely with hotels
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field
- Ability to effectively manage workload in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Ability to positively present API in customer-facing situations
- Strong Microsoft Office computer skills, with emphasis on Excel
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service and client relationship skills
- Ability to work with and understand diverse cultures domestically and internationally
- Organized self-starter able to work proactively and independently
- Ability to multitask and work well under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and limited travel availability based on business needs
- Bilingual is a plus
- Up to 25% travel availability
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
- Normal Monday-Friday core business hours
