About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure
- Engineer and manage containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS
- Develop and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code solutions, reusable modules, automation frameworks, and standardized deployment patterns
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related DevOps tools
- Architect and support AWS networking solutions including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Route 53, VPN connectivity, and load balancing services
- Implement cloud security controls, governance standards, and compliance requirements using IAM, AWS Organizations, SCPs, KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS Config
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve cloud platform reliability through observability, incident response, root cause analysis, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and operational automation
- Collaborate with Application Development, DevOps, Security, Database, and Cloud Operations teams to deliver cloud solutions, support modernization, establish engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant experience may be substituted for formal education
- 7+ years of infrastructure, cloud engineering, or platform engineering experience
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience supporting enterprise environments
- Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Hands-on experience building and managing Kubernetes platforms, preferably Amazon EKS
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
- Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Experience supporting highly available, production-grade cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
- U.S.-based candidate currently residing in one of the eligible states: AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, KY, MD, MI, MN, NV, NH, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, WV
