About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and evolve the presentation layer of the Snowflake data warehouse
  • Model complex healthcare and health tech domains end-to-end using dbt
  • Design and build high-impact data models using advanced methodologies
  • Translate operational domains into scalable analytics blueprints
  • Partner with BI and Analytics teams to understand requirements and deliver production-grade models
  • Improve data model performance and Snowflake warehouse design
  • Prioritise compute efficiency, scalability, and a seamless end-user experience
  • Establish and scale standards for data quality, automated testing, and dbt documentation
  • Champion self-serve analytics and empower non-technical colleagues through BI tools
  • Mentor teammates and share advanced modelling knowledge
  • Contribute through code reviews, sprint planning, and open collaboration
  • Support strategic data initiatives and data infrastructure automation
  • Collaborate across engineering teams on scalable solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong, proven experience as an Analytics Engineer within a modern data team
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Snowflake, and dbt (Core or Cloud)
  • Hands-on data modelling expertise, including Dimensional Modelling, Star Schemas, Data Vault, or OBT
  • Ability to translate complex real-world domains into clean, scalable analytics blueprints
  • Experience with cloud environments, specifically Azure
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices including Git and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, including PII management and secure data access
  • Experience driving self-serve analytics adoption across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate complex technical architecture clearly to analysts and senior leadership
  • Active use of AI tools to automate routine tasks and integrate AI into workflows
  • Experience with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran or custom Python pipelines is a bonus
  • Must work in the UK; visa sponsorship requirement is assessed as part of the application
