About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support assigned Review and/or Recognition Committees in reviewing and accrediting/recognizing graduate medical education programs
- Coordinate program review agendas, inventory and evaluate program documents, identify review purposes, and determine required documentation
- Coordinate program review assignments, identify reviewer conflicts of interest, compile review materials, and distribute workloads
- Maintain committee membership information, resources, files, and data in the Accreditation Data System
- Communicate with committee members, ensure meeting documentation is complete, respond to inquiries, troubleshoot access issues, and identify missing information
- Coordinate in-person and virtual committee meeting logistics, including accommodations, room setup, audiovisual and IT needs, catering, meals, dinners, chats, breakouts, and document sharing
- Assist with note-taking and draft meeting minutes
- Review and post committee decisions, actions, and Letters of Notification in the Accreditation Data System
- Track accreditation/recognition site visit requests and completion status
- Support committee members with reimbursement-system access and expense reports
- Review and process interim requests in the Accreditation Data System
- Assist programs with documentation, data requirements, Case Log minima, and institutional volume forms
- Respond to program and external constituent inquiries about procedures, forms, and annual data updates
- Process new applications and accreditation/recognition site visit information
- Coordinate meetings for subcommittees, task forces, and work groups
- Travel to meetings and other ACGME events as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- The ACGME will not provide employment sponsorship for this position
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or three years of experience as an institutional/residency/fellowship program coordinator or five years of administrative support in a health-related area
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer-oriented approach to both internal and external communication
- Basic computer skills, including using the internet, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive
- Strong attention to detail and expert follow-up skills
- Demonstrated sound judgment, common sense, and dependability
- Skilled in working under tight timelines and balancing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic and demonstrated flexibility
- Superior organizational and workflow management skills
- Preferred Master’s degree in a relevant field of study
