About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own full-cycle recruiting for all open requisitions, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and candidate communication
- Manage time to fill and requisition throughput across the organization
- Support hiring managers and manage expectations during volume or market-related challenges
- Build scalable recruiting processes and funnels
- Use AI tools to improve sourcing, screening, candidate communication, payroll, and HR documentation
- Process and administer biweekly payroll
- Coordinate with Finance on payroll-related compliance, including tax withholding, multi-state SUI, and income withholding orders
- Support performance management processes and documentation
- Handle employee relations cases and determine when to escalate or resolve independently
- Advise managers and directors across the organization
- Administer HRIS, ATS, and related People Ops platforms, including configuration, workflows, permissions, data integrity, and maintenance
- Improve People Ops processes and systems as the company scales
- Cross-train and provide backup support for onboarding, offboarding, promotions, records management, and other People Operations processes
- Grow toward full ownership and management of HR and people-related processes under the strategic direction and oversight of the VP of People Operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-8 years of experience in People Operations/HR, including direct, hands-on ownership of a Talent Acquisition function
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a directly related field, or equivalent additional directly related work experience in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in actual recruiting or HR workflows
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Track record of moving requisitions quickly and keeping time-to-fill down
- Ability to operate independently across multiple functions with minimal oversight
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR credential preferred
- Hands-on ATS and/or HRIS administration experience preferred
- Payroll processing experience and ADP or comparable platform experience preferred
- Employee relations casework and performance management process design experience preferred
- Experience building or significantly improving recruiting processes or systems preferred
- Experience in a lean or rapidly scaling organization preferred
- Compensation management experience preferred
