About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet and identify patients
  • Obtain billing and testing information according to SOP
  • Collect urine and oral fluid specimens for testing, observing collection as needed
  • Package and prepare specimens for shipping
  • Adhere to HIPAA and DRUGSCAN compliance policies regarding patient information, orders, and billing processes
  • Follow safety rules and regulations, including proper sample handling, workstation cleanliness, and use of personal protective equipment
  • Manage collection supplies
  • Perform customer service duties, including phone inquiries and patient encounters
  • Collect patient payments as needed
  • Assist with Customer Service pickup requests
  • Answer incoming client calls
  • Make outbound calls for missing information
  • Place supply orders
  • Assist clients with DRUGSCAN portals
  • Manage shared inboxes
  • Log tasks with CRM
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervision or management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalency required

  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift 20–50 lbs.
  • Ability to push and pull medical equipment and assist with patient positioning
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks
  • High sensory acuity for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure, respond to emergencies, and maintain sustained focus
  • Compliance with TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams as applicable
