About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver principals' volume, share, and sales fundamental goals, including merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving, while maximizing company revenue.
- Communicate principals' priorities to sales, technology, marketing, business, and retail selling teams.
- Report to the General Manager or Team Leader and participate in developing, designing, and presenting Acosta introductions to new principals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with principals and customers.
- Coordinate communication between General Managers and key principals.
- Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on product introductions, selling drives, and contests.
- Coordinate principals' market visits and key account calls.
- Develop conceptual sales presentations aligned with principals' objectives.
- Provide feedback on strategies, selling programs, and initiatives and recommend business improvements.
- Maintain account distribution information and review market pricing and competitive activity.
- Manage personal skill development and share customer/manufacturer information with team members.
- Follow client procedures, manage promotional plans and fund balances, and monitor financial management issues such as deductions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- A proven track-record in sales; preferably with a food broker or national company.
- Kroger experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Willing to travel mainly locally, up to 20%.
- Sit for extended periods, typically 6+ hours per day.
- Use a computer, including keyboard and mouse, for prolonged periods.
- Lift and carry light items, typically 20+ pounds.
- Reach, bend, or stoop occasionally to access files or office materials.
- Maintain focus and attention for long periods of desk-based work.
- Follow clear directions.
- Perform repetitive motions consistently throughout the day.
