About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop copy that informs, persuades, entertains, and sells
  • Create campaign concepts, messaging platforms, headlines, activations, and content across retail, digital, social, experiential, video, and emerging channels
  • Execute detailed copy meeting retailer requirements, brand standards, and legal considerations
  • Partner with creative teams to align copy with design
  • Collaborate with strategists and account teams on business goals, shopper behavior, and success measures
  • Research brands, products, competitors, cultural trends, and consumer insights
  • Present ideas, explain creative thinking, and incorporate feedback
  • Contribute to brainstorms, pitches, and new business opportunities
  • Stay current on culture, advertising, retail, and consumer discovery and purchasing behavior
  • Occasionally travel for client meetings, photoshoots, productions, and other creative activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business, English, or a related field preferred
  • 1–4 years of agency experience
  • Portfolio showing strong thinking, sharp writing, and creative range
  • Experience writing across digital, social, in-store, video, experiential, retail, and traditional media
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, research, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 6+ hours per day
  • Ability to use a computer, including keyboard and mouse, for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift and carry light items, typically 20+ pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, or stoop occasionally
  • Ability to maintain focus during desk-based work
  • Ability to follow clear directions
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions consistently
