About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the retailer expert and execute client plans
  • Grow client business within assigned retailers faster than the category and retailer overall
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and customers within an assigned geographic region
  • Present targeted strategic client plans based on customer and retailer insights
  • Execute strategic plans covering sales, share, distribution, promotion, pricing, merchandising, and financial management
  • Communicate proactively with the Client Team regarding status, opportunities, expectations, and business-plan needs
  • Communicate customer changes and insights across relevant CROSSMARK roles
  • Use CROSSVIEW as the business planning, communication, and execution framework
  • Support Business Account Managers and stakeholders in developing client plans and brand activation strategies
  • Identify and sell additional client services using client and customer performance insights
  • Support preparation for CROSSVIEW Business Reviews and participate in presentations when appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the CPG industry (preferred)
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including intermediate Excel skills such as PivotTables
  • Strong communication skills (listening, presentation, written, and verbal)
  • Insights-based, consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Strong retailer knowledge and credibility
  • Intermediate category management knowledge, including the “4 Ps”
  • Solid business acumen and awareness of market and industry trends
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Customer service mindset
  • Professionalism and ability to perform under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. for customer, client, or company meetings as needed
  • Ability to transport sample products to account calls
  • English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity
