About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis to identify learning objectives and determine training or performance enhancement solutions
  • Consult with stakeholders to develop training program goals, program objectives, and module objectives
  • Apply instructional design theory to create learning activities and course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Create new training programs from scratch, beginning with formal analysis of training needs
  • Apply adult learning theory to select training media and methodologies based on audience, content, location, and learning stage
  • Develop training content including eLearning modules, interactive PDFs, videos, simulations, role plays, games, lectures, self-study, on-the-job training, and computer-based training
  • Research, select, and modify existing training curricula, content, materials, and job aids
  • Implement and troubleshoot SCORM and AICC content within a Learning Management System
  • Design evaluation strategies, criteria, and tools to assess learning and performance outcomes
  • Review evaluations, test results, and participant and manager feedback to recommend program improvements
  • Manage vendors, statements of work, timelines, resources, and quality of delivered products and services
  • Maintain project documentation, files, and course folders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Learning, Learning and Development or related degree preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of training and content design experience
  • Experience working with moderately complex content
  • Experience designing training for multiple delivery modalities, including traditional classroom, online classroom, self-paced e-Learning modules, and community learning
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models, and training evaluation methods
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Visual design skills and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts
  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience working with eLearning authoring tools and graphic design tools
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Rise
  • Solid knowledge of at least one Learning Management System; SuccessFactors or PeopleFluent preferred
  • English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, hear, use computer peripherals, read, write, and communicate information
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required
  • No certificates, licenses, or registrations required
