About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the Retail Coverage Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser team in the assigned geographic area
  • Interview and hire candidates; onboard and train new associates
  • Manage performance and career development, handle conflict and personnel issues, and provide coaching and support
  • Develop and maintain understanding of the company business model, client and customer expectations, and work processes
  • Spend at least 20% of time working in-store
  • Manage assigned work to completion on time and with high-quality results
  • Review project schedules and ensure supporting documentation is accurate and current
  • Assign work, monitor progress, audit work, answer questions, solve problems, resolve personnel issues, and adjust resources
  • Ensure delivery of necessary materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Optimize selling effectiveness in assigned territories and identify training and process improvement needs
  • Partner with store personnel and team to achieve merchandising excellence
  • Communicate schedules, changes, goals, and expectations
  • Alert management to unsafe acts or conditions
  • Ensure company policies, equipment maintenance, expense reporting, and activity reporting requirements are followed
  • Communicate territory responsibilities to the MEI admin team and use MEI to report retail priorities and coverage analyses
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Some college with prior management/supervisory experience and a minimum of 2+ years industry experience
  • Prior sales agent, retail, customer service or reset responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making and leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Productivity while working in a home office environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office applications, Teams, Outlook, and company systems and applications
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and additional hours beyond a standard 40-hour workweek
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel, including possible overnight stays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical requirements including standing, walking, climbing ladders, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and squatting
  • Adequate vision and hearing capabilities
  • Must be in or within driving distance of Fort Myers, FL
  • Authorization to work in the United States validated through E-Verify
