About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as senior strategic partner for enterprise-level clients across Brand Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and executive leadership
  • Set and steer strategic priorities and joint business plans
  • Develop Amazon sales, marketing, and merchandising strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and conversion goals
  • Build business cases and investment recommendations
  • Lead executive-level business reviews, annual planning sessions, and top-to-top meetings with clients and Amazon
  • Translate complex data and business challenges into recommendations and actionable plans
  • Manage complex Amazon Vendor and Seller Central businesses
  • Build relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers, Vendor Services, and other Amazon stakeholders
  • Represent clients in Amazon meetings, negotiations, planning sessions, and business reviews
  • Lead annual accrual and trade-term negotiations
  • Own account-level sales, profitability, investment, forecasting, inventory, and operational performance
  • Develop and execute annual Amazon growth plans and forecasting
  • Develop merchandising strategies for launches, priority ASINs, seasonal campaigns, promotional events, and category trends
  • Oversee digital shelf strategy across content, SEO, discoverability, conversion, ratings, reviews, and promotions
  • Partner with media teams on retail strategy, advertising investment, promotional planning, merchandising, and measurement
  • Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and lead corrective actions
  • Lead cross-functional planning across operations, media, sales, catalog, content, and internal and external partners
  • Establish ownership, timelines, escalation paths, measurement plans, and operating cadences
  • Balance priorities across multiple clients and competing deadlines
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to direct reports, Brand Managers, and team members
  • Drive initiatives improving client service, team effectiveness, processes, and commercial outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in e-commerce sales/broker agency, marketing, or merchant role
  • 6+ years Amazon platform experience, including forecasting, budgets, and Amazon profitability with emphasis on ROI
  • 3+ years of leadership and management of brand/marketing growth
  • Proven leadership experience in conflict resolution and driving alignment to strategic brand vision
  • Experience managing creative processes and relationships with agencies and creative teams
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor and Seller Central
  • Experience working with Amazon Vendor Managers and Vendor Services
  • Experience owning enterprise-level client relationships, budgets, financial performance, and P&Ls
  • Experience leading client and Amazon negotiations
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, QBR, annual planning, and top-to-top presentation experience
  • Experience coordinating retail, operations, catalog, content, and media strategies
  • Experience with third-party Amazon tools such as CIQ, Analytic Index, Circana, Jungle Scout, Keepa, or similar
  • Project management and cross-functional leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Amazon Sponsored Ads and DSP
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce tools and analytics platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, indexing, and presentation-level charts
  • Understanding of e-commerce channels and online marketplaces
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • Understanding of retail financials
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer for prolonged periods, lift and carry items typically weighing 20+ pounds, and perform repetitive motions
