About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the business insights partnership between Acosta and its client
  • Analyze complex data and provide proactive guidance and recommendations addressing product, pricing, promotion, and placement
  • Support the General Merchandise category
  • Lead and direct the category review process through the three-call process
  • Engage cross-functional teams to provide complete category management solutions
  • Build compelling sales presentations using syndicated, shopper, and other data sources
  • Provide in-depth analysis and solutions addressing current business issues
  • Understand client KPIs that drive profit and sales
  • Deliver data reports to the scorecard or validate progress
  • Meet regularly with clients and business managers to become a trusted advisor
  • Follow up and summarize analysis results
  • Create case studies and success stories

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Related work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement
  • 3–5 years related work experience
  • Solid working knowledge of the CPG industry, including data sources, tools, and concepts
  • Proficiency in industry tools used for assigned work
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI as needed
  • Advanced skill in plan preparation and delivering effective solutions
  • Ability to analyze business challenges or opportunities and identify ways to drive results
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while adapting to the audience
  • Ability to independently manage and sometimes lead project plans, including tracking, communication, and timing
  • Ability to break down complex problems into smaller components and potential resolutions
  • Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to execute strategic objectives through tactical plans
  • Category Management Certification preferred
  • Must be able to work in the United States
