About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the delivery of ICP projects from inception through to energisation and final handover
- Manage programme performance, commercial outcomes, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate and manage project teams, subcontractors, DNOs, IDNOs, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and support across the wider business for ICP opportunities and project delivery
- Drive compliance with NERS requirements, utility standards, and industry regulations
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Site Managers, and operational teams
- Support business growth through effective planning, resource management, and project governance
- Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example
- Act as the appointed NERS Qualified Supervisor, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and operational assurance across the ICP portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years' experience managing ICP projects
- Strong knowledge of NERS accreditation requirements
- Experience delivering HV network projects (11kV & 33kV)
- Understanding of DNO and IDNO specifications and procedures
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams
- SMSTS (or equivalent)
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation
- Full UK Driving Licence
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (desirable)
- NERS supervisory or auditing experience (desirable)
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or operational authorisations (desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification (desirable)
- Professional membership (IET or similar) (desirable)
