About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own discovery for every new client, including networks, servers, firewalls, line-of-business applications, vendors, licensing, credentials, and backups.
Produce accurate, structured, and useful documentation for engineers.
Identify information gaps and prevent future support outages.
Work independently and drive the discovery process forward.
Partner with the technical team during tooling deployment and document results.
Support Professional Services projects involving Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure.
Support Entra ID migrations and tenant consolidations, Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant moves, SharePoint and Teams rollouts, email security, and Exchange Online work.
Provide excellent customer service and communication as the client-facing representative.
Visit client locations throughout Middle Tennessee to inspect server rooms and wiring closets and verify information in person.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and both in-person and remote.
2-4 years of hands-on systems administration or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking fundamentals, and backup/DR concepts.
Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) and the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Experience supporting a tenant migration or Entra-related project is a strong plus.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated documentation skills.
Self-starter comfortable managing own workload with minimal oversight.
Strong interviewing and active listening skills.
Comfort working with existing MSP documentation platforms and willingness to improve the structure.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular client site visits.
Preferred certifications include SC-300, AZ-802, AZ-104, MD-102, CompTIA Network+ or Security+, ITIL 4 Foundation, Cisco CCNA, or Fortinet NSA 2 or above.
