About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and advance strategic partnerships with Managed Care Organizations, post-acute providers, and health systems
- Develop new business and revenue through clinical integration and market expansion
- Negotiate alternative payment mechanisms, risk-sharing, and other reimbursement tactics
- Guide cross-functional business team members across Operations, Sales, Billing, and Finance
- Ensure timely and accurate contract setup and ongoing maintenance with payors, facilities, subcontractors, and other legal entities
- Lead and assist with RFPs
- Resolve complex issues with minimal management oversight
- Serve as subject matter expert on contract and reimbursement issues affecting the home medical equipment and healthcare industries
- Manage a client portfolio to identify and deliver business opportunities and projects
- Collaborate with Audit and Compliance to maintain good standing with entities, regulations, and patients
- Evaluate and oversee TPA integration options
- Maintain knowledge of the company’s HME products and services
- Protect patient confidentiality and operate within HIPAA guidelines
- Complete compliance training and required educational programs
- Hire, onboard, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff
- Establish department goals and objectives aligned with organizational strategy
- Achieve organizational performance and retention goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to handle complex contract negotiations
- Proficient knowledge of medical contracting methodologies and claims pricing/reimbursement strategies
- Independent thinker and decision maker
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strategic business partner
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Solid ability to learn new technologies and technical aptitude to understand data flow through systems and system interaction
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from an accredited college required
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience required in contracting, credentialing, or network management
- Five (5) years of management experience in a related position preferred
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence
