About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in developing and implementing the annual budget, monthly forecasts, strategic plan, and monthly operating results analysis and reporting
Work with department managers to monitor budgets and analyze monthly results
Provide analytical support to business partners to improve operating performance
Analyze business, financial, and industry data
Create financial models to support organizational decision-making
Develop financial plans and reports for organizational leaders
Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation
Analyze processes and identify improvement opportunities
Support monthly closing, forecasting, reporting, analysis, annual operating plan, and strategic plan processes
Provide variance analysis and determine causes of changes across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
Prepare timely management reporting, including margin analysis and cost-center spending/variance analysis
Serve as liaison between Finance and AdaptHealth departments on finance-related issues
Advise on procedures and solutions
Assist with enhancements to financial reporting, analysis, policies, procedures, documentation, and systems transitions/requirements
Provide ad hoc analytical support and complete special projects
Compile and distribute application utilization and adoption reports
Analyze large datasets and communicate results clearly to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, business, or a health care related field required
MBA preferred
Two (2) years’ experience in corporate finance regardless of industry, or finance experience in health care/HME required
Experience with tasks in a Medicare-certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance considered exact job experience
Strong decision-making skills
Strong financial modeling capabilities
Demonstrated competence presenting complex financial information at executive and board-of-directors level
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Ability to properly treat confidential information
Strong verbal and written communication
Expert-level Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Technical aptitude to understand data flow through systems and system interaction
