About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as technical lead on complex customer projects
Ensure project quality standards are met
Lead technical discussions with demanding stakeholders
Align expectations and convert ambiguity into clear next steps
Anticipate and address organizational and delivery risks
Manage complex, critical systems
Apply updates and resolve incidents
Plan and implement sophisticated multi-cloud or on-premises platforms
Provide comprehensive support and handle high-priority issues
Assist junior and professional team members in critical situations
Act as Single Point of Contact for select Service Level Agreements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Five to eight years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments
Strong DevOps background with CNCF and HashiCorp stacks, GitLab, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, and GitOps
Broad experience in software development, cloud migration, and platform engineering
Strong networking skills and ability to translate advanced concepts into network designs
Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities
Expertise in improving and building automations
Understanding of aligning technology, architecture, and business requirements in complex customer environments
Ability to understand client needs and manage demanding stakeholder situations
Ability to identify risks and dependencies proactively
Hands-on approach and ability to support others in critical situations
Proficiency in written and spoken German is nice to have
GitLab, IBM (HashiCorp), Red Hat, and/or SUSE certifications are nice to have
Experience with SUSE products is nice to have
AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications are nice to have
