About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and ship testable, production-grade agentic AI systems for enterprise scale
- Serve as lead individual contributor and technical standard-bearer for a growing backend AI team
- Set engineering standards through code, design reviews, and mentorship
- Research emerging techniques and translate them into practical, reliable engineering practices
- Extend and evolve services while keeping complexity low and the codebase maintainable
Requirements
What you’ll need- Formal background in CS or a related technical discipline (MS a plus)
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Python and its ecosystem (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar)
- Writes elegant, well-tested code, with or without AI assistance
- Strong systems design skills
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Comfortable moving fast in ambiguous situations that require clear communication
- Able to work in person at the NYC office 3+ days per week
- Able to work from the Three World Trade Center office 3 times per week
- Work authorization in the United States is addressed in the application form
