Bilingual Business Technology IT Specialist
Advance Auto Parts. Provide technical support, installation, training and implementation services for CARQUEST stores and business systems .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support, installation, training and implementation services for CARQUEST stores and business systems
- Diagnose IT issues, resolve tickets and troubleshoot systems to completion
- Install or oversee installation of company-approved computer systems, software and equipment
- Set up store networks, including cabling, routers, ISP connections and telephones
- Troubleshoot configuration, data, software, hardware, ISP and networking issues
- Participate in store changeovers, acquisitions, ownership changes, remodels, relocations and greenfield stores
- Provide data conversion, inventory control, profit control, data entry, store management system training, e-Commerce setup and application support
- Assist with Shop Management System integration when required
- Train customers on Exploris, CARQUEST Link and WebLink
- Travel throughout North America for up to two weeks at a time for acquisitions, changeovers and system implementations
- Demonstrate business technology products to current and prospective customers in coordination with sales
- Assist with testing Exploris release functions and new hardware and build training courses
- Submit weekly activity and customer-base status reports
- Submit monthly hardware/software billings for independent customers
- Attend company-provided training on existing and new technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual French/English required
- Strong knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and networking
- Ability to independently identify and resolve IT issues within a store's system and network
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a unified team member
- Working knowledge of Exploris application
- Working knowledge of ISP configurations and network cabling
- Strong technical aptitude
- Knowledge of Automotive Store business operations
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Automotive aftermarket experience is required
- Previous experience providing IT technical support and training
- Ability to travel extensively throughout North America for up to two weeks at a time
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
