About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide first-level technical support for Carquest Stores, Corporate, and Distribution Center team members
- Support Exploris and Weblink end users, applications, and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot IT issues by identifying probable causes, investigating resolutions, determining root causes, and demonstrating successful solutions
- Escalate complex problems to the next level
- Use software release documentation, knowledge bases, and FAQs to resolve problems
- Respond urgently to system failures and provide collaborative solutions to analysts, developers, engineers, and support teams
- Document problem resolutions thoroughly in support tools for future reference and team member training
- Gather and verify information from internal and external customers to diagnose IT issues and complete resolution
- Work in normal office conditions with weekend and shift work as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual English/French
- Experience using Microsoft Office Professional Series (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience using incident management systems such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management processes
- Previous experience in Exploris/Weblink and basic understanding of retail operational procedures preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and hardware issues for store equipment
- Understanding of accounts receivable and inventory management preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and integrate with a team to resolve technical problems
- Experience handling multiple assignments and prioritizing in high-demand situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users, technical staff, team members, developers, engineers, and customers
- Ability to respond to off-hour emergencies and perform evening, weekend, and holiday work as necessary
- Ability to work one weekend per month and be on call during evenings every other month
- 1–3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ITIL certification preferred
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
