About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor payment traffic, identify anomalies, and respond promptly to operational incidents
Analyze payment conversion rates and decline reasons across merchants, payment providers, payment methods, GEOs, BINs, and issuing banks
Investigate complex payment issues, identify root causes, and develop actionable recommendations
Provide expert operational support to merchants
Collaborate with payment providers and internal teams to coordinate incident resolution and minimize operational impact
Prepare analytical reports and assess the effectiveness of implemented changes and optimization initiatives
Improve operational processes, monitoring tools, and payment performance
Configure and optimize payment traffic routing rules to improve transaction success rates and payment efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working in a Payment Service Provider (PSP), acquiring, or payment processing environment
In-depth understanding of card processing
Hands-on experience with alternative payment methods, including e-wallets and cryptocurrency payments
Practical experience in payment conversion analysis and investigation of complex payment incidents
Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Proficiency with analytical tools such as Metabase, Power BI, or similar platforms
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to independently identify root causes and propose effective solutions
Experience working with payment providers and corporate clients
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Russian
Preferred: experience building dashboards and automating analytical reporting
Preferred: experience analyzing payment declines related to anti-fraud checks and risk restrictions
