About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests through the self-service portal, phone, email, Teams, and walk-ups
- Provide remote and on-site support to staff at all facilities
- Log, prioritize, and manage Help Desk tickets within response and resolution targets
- Keep users informed of ticket status and confirm resolution before closing tickets
- Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 issues with Windows workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, and peripherals
- Administer accounts, including new hire setup, terminations, password resets, MFA re-registration, group membership, and mailbox changes in Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
- Verify requester identity before making account changes
- Provide first-level support to Avatar EHR users and escalate application issues
- Set up, enroll, and deploy computers and mobile devices using Intune
- Maintain inventory of issued, returned, and retired equipment
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office
- Assist with GlobalProtect VPN, Remote Desktop, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues
- Recognize and report suspected security incidents
- Protect PHI and confidential information in accordance with HIPAA and company security policies
- Identify and escalate urgent situations such as site-wide outages or EHR downtime
- Create and update knowledge base articles, how-to guides, and user documentation
- Assist with IT projects, new site setups, equipment refreshes, and office moves
- Work with facility leadership to support facility success
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in place of a degree
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in helpdesk, desktop support, or end-user support
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 in a business environment
- Experience supporting a healthcare or multi-site organization preferred
- CompTIA A+ preferred
- Network+, Security+, or a Microsoft certification (e.g., MS-900 or MD-102) is a plus
- Valid driver's license required for travel to facilities
- Windows 10/11 desktop support and troubleshooting knowledge
- Microsoft 365 knowledge, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office
- Active Directory user and group administration fundamentals
- Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN
- Printer and peripheral support
- HIPAA privacy and security fundamentals
- Drug-Free Workplace Policies, Workplace Violence, and Corporate Integrity & Compliance Program training
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work after hours or remotely when needed
- Ability to travel to facilities when needed, including occasional overnight travel
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
