About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic oversight of programming and development functions, including systems architecture, UI/UX, database design, application programming, testing, controls, and user experience
  • Lead three programming teams comprising eight team members
  • Set engineering standards and elevate development practices
  • Mentor programming talent and strengthen department capability and performance
  • Collaborate with project owners and stakeholders to gather, define, and meet program requirements
  • Evaluate buy-versus-build options and best-practice approaches
  • Design and sequence workflow processes aligned with user expectations
  • Perform work breakdowns, estimate tasks and labor hours, and align project load with resource availability
  • Communicate project constraints and delivery expectations to stakeholders and management
  • Support programmers’ ongoing development and serve as liaison between programmers and organizational stakeholders
  • Investigate program errors, identify root causes, propose solutions, establish debugging protocols, and perform functional testing with documented results
  • Report workload and project status across organizational levels
  • Set annual budgets and business plans
  • Establish policies and procedures for programming, development, system lifecycles, technology research, deployments, maintenance, and sunsetting
  • Cultivate a positive, respectful, collaborative, caring, and inclusive culture across staff, departments, branches, and external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and minimum seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Minimum five years of prior management and leadership experience
  • Master’s degree desirable
  • Ability to work hybrid at the Remote Operations Center in Irving, Texas
  • Successful completion of background and credit checks
  • Ability to participate in the stated in-person interview process
