About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a trusted HR Advisor for employees and managers across the employee lifecycle
  • Build relationships across the business and support an inclusive, engaged and high-performing culture
  • Lead and support employee relations matters
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and belonging initiatives
  • Support organisational change initiatives and manage people impacts
  • Use employee feedback and people insights to improve employee experience
  • Develop, review and maintain HR policies, protocols and guidance
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and people processes
  • Support performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Improve HR processes and implement scalable solutions
  • Monitor and report on key people metrics for business decisions and workforce planning
  • Partner with managers and leaders through HR advice and coaching
  • Support leadership of performance, development, engagement and employee relations
  • Equip managers with tools and guidance to lead effective teams
  • Identify leadership and capability development needs
  • Source and coordinate external training providers, workshops and learning opportunities
  • Support manager development initiatives and provide best-practice resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong HR knowledge and practical experience
  • Solid understanding of employment law, HR best practice, and employee relations processes
  • Experience independently managing performance management processes
  • Experience coaching managers through performance concerns and supporting difficult conversations
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and find solutions through conversation
  • Approachable and discreet, with sound judgment and strong confidentiality
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Understanding of inclusive, engaged and values-led workplaces
  • Ability to work with HR policies, protocols, guidance, employment legislation and HR operations
  • Ability to support performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Ability to maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Ability to monitor and report on people metrics
  • Ability to identify leadership and capability development needs and coordinate external training
