About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create detailed 3D structural models using Tekla Structures
- Develop conceptual and design models in Trimble SketchUp
- Produce shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, and material lists from the models
- Manage project collaboration, file sharing, model reviews, and issue tracking through Trimble Connect
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts
- Ensure models follow project standards, BIM execution plans, and quality requirements
- Update models and drawings based on design changes and client feedback
- Maintain accurate documentation and version control of project files
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- 2-3 years of practical experience in BIM modeling or detailing
- Hands-on experience with Tekla Structures, SketchUp, and Trimble Connect
- Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, and clash detection
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Good attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Experience with steel or concrete detailing (preferred)
- Knowledge of IFC and other BIM exchange formats (preferred)
- Familiarity with other tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks (preferred)
- Experience with the Tekla Open API or SketchUp extensions (a plus, not a requirement)
