About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development and maintenance of applications using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Core.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers throughout the SDLC.
Design scalable application architectures and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs / Web APIs and backend services.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and engineering best practices.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers and support their technical development.
Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Identify technical risks, dependencies and performance issues and drive appropriate solutions.
Contribute to CI/CD, automation and DevOps practices.
Participate in Agile/Scrum planning and support successful sprint delivery.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve application performance and reliability.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ YOE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong professional experience in C# and .NET / .NET Core.
Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core and Web API development.
Good experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles and software design patterns.
Experience with microservices architecture is highly preferred.
Experience with Git/source control and code review practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Cloud experience, particularly Microsoft Azure, is a strong advantage. Current .NET Technical Lead postings also highlight Azure services alongside .NET Core, C# and SQL.
