About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide badging support in the Wake area, including High Point
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of general patient and non-patient care equipment/applications
- Perform and document routine maintenance according to current policies and procedures
- Assist with management and tracking of break/fix and spare equipment/parts inventory
- Act on equipment hazard alerts and recalls to ensure patient safety
- Perform and document department inventories
- Accept on-call responsibilities and support customer emergency issues
- Escalate issues to the appropriate person or group as needed
- Provide technical in-service education to clinical and non-clinical staff on equipment operation and maintenance
- Cross-train peers to improve skills and verify competency
- Serve as a limited technical advisor/project coordinator for evaluation and installation of patient and non-patient care equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair knowledge for general patient and non-patient care equipment/applications
- Ability to perform and document routine maintenance in compliance with policies and procedures
- Ability to manage inventory levels and track equipment/parts
- Ability to accept on-call responsibilities and support emergency issues
- Ability to provide technical in-service education and cross-training
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk
- Reliable personal transportation for daily trips between facilities
- Ability to carry equipment in a personal automobile between facilities
- Must meet Transportation requirements, including Defensive Driving Class and Motor Vehicle Report screening for certification to drive company vehicles
