About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support in delivering quality clinical care and work with healthcare teams and physicians on triage, telephone assessments, home therapies, and patient visits
  • Lead clinical teams in meeting or exceeding CI goals
  • Assist physicians and associates in managing patient registries
  • Conduct monthly office inspection checklists and required audits
  • Ensure AMG standing operating procedures and rooming standards are followed
  • Oversee approved site research activities
  • Manage EMR tasks, overdue orders, test result follow-up, and other patient follow-up
  • Lead emergency response and resolve potential safety and equipment problems
  • Monitor documentation, regulatory standards, safety training, certifications, and HIPAA compliance
  • Promote a culture of safety, manage patient safety events, and support ACAs and RCAs
  • Lead site clinical integration activities
  • Monitor patient satisfaction, patient flow, wait times, appointment availability, and service recovery
  • Develop clinical staffing schedules and coordinate managed care issues and nursing updates
  • Round on patients, associates, and physicians; lead team huddles
  • Conduct staff meetings, performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, orientation, and training
  • Maintain associate certifications and required continuing education units
  • Support practice growth, same-day access, volume targets, inventory control, and cost and revenue targets
  • Optimize staffing efficiency and minimize overtime, temporary staff, and registry use
  • Support physician/provider onboarding and resolve operational, clinical, patient-care, safety, workflow, and EMR concerns
  • Participate in meetings, committees, projects, professional growth activities, and continuing education
  • Perform clinical duties and other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing
  • 5+ years of nursing experience
  • BSN preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, ADA, DOT regulations, CDC guidelines, and Workman’s Comp Laws if applicable
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient with keyboard and computers
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Current RN Licensure in State of Illinois
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to work varying shifts any day of the week to meet needs of the site
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and difficult situations
  • Ability to perform lifting/transfer activities relating to patient as needed and ability to stoop/bend
  • Able to respond quickly to patient needs and work at a fast pace
  • Ability to assist in the evacuation of patients in the event of fire or other disaster
  • Ability to travel to Advocate locations
  • Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients
  • Ability to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of patient age groups
