About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Float among primary care clinics in Kenosha, Wisconsin
  • Maintain patient safety and confidentiality
  • Perform physical safety interventions and verbal de-escalation when needed
  • Use protective clothing and equipment when exposed to hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, or communicable disease

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Medical assistant diploma from an accredited institute OR 2 years of verifiable medical assistant experience OR certified MA with 2 years of verifiable medical assistant experience
  • Phlebotomy skills preferred
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
  • Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch; fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions
  • Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
  • Ability to perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed
  • Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
  • Physical Abilities Testing may be required
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, scheduled between 6:45 a.m. and 5 p.m.
