About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise the front office
  • Perform Patient Care Coordinator activities, including staff management, accuracy auditing, quality control, and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Interview new or replacement staff
  • Coordinate staff cross-training
  • Provide coverage for certain positions
  • Assist the Practice Manager or function as Practice Manager during absences, including non-clinical coverage, facility and equipment needs, patient satisfaction, and patient complaints
  • Verify patient eligibility before treatment
  • Establish payment plans for outstanding balances
  • Purchase office and medical supplies
  • File insurance
  • Distribute refunds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • Supervision experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Computer skills required
  • Communication skills required
  • Must speak and read English very well
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to deal effectively with patients, staff, and physicians
  • Ability to analyze data or report information
  • Ability to search for solutions and direct activities of others
