About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a Sports Medicine surgeon within the Charlotte market
- Function as an integrated member of the Orthopedic Surgical care team
- Independently evaluate and manage patients
- Perform procedures within scope, including splinting, bracing, casting, injections/aspirations, and wound care
- Collaborate with the supervising physician across clinic and hospital settings
- Provide clinical and surgical support
- Support clinic workflow, patient management, and care coordination
- Participate in hospital and practice call responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage orthopedic conditions and injuries
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and collaborate on treatment planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed or eligible to practice as a Physician Assistant in South Carolina or as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Adult-Gerontology ACNP or equivalent acute care certification required)
- Graduate from an accredited PA or Acute Care NP program
- National board certification required
- DEA license required or eligible
- Eligible for prescriptive authority through the appropriate South Carolina governing board
- BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required, with expiration greater than 90 days from start date
- Ability to rotate through call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
