About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through scheduling, coding, registration, and billing
- Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service
- Enter accurate and up-to-date billing information into the patient accounting system
- Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records
- Provide coverage across Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, and Racine locations
- Serve patients arriving for appointments or contacting the practice by telephone or in person
- Provide information about appointments, tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters
- Enter patient and payer billing information at time of service
- Follow up accurately on missing billing information
- Uphold standards for accurate and timely medical records
- Support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless care experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years related customer service experience
- Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients
- Ability to function in a high volume, multiple-task environment
- Ability to work in a crowded or closely shared workspace
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers
- Must lift up to 35 pounds without help
- Availability required between 5:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Monday through Friday availability, with possible Saturday shifts as needed
